  1. Select the Tag Option from the list.

    • When you select Standard in the MTO Option cell, entering the Tag Option data is optional.

      • When No is selected, the tag number on the BOM position is ignored, and different BOM positions with different tag numbers result in ONE line item on the engineering requisition with the summarized quantity.

      • When Yes is selected, the MTO job includes the tag number in the Material Grouped By condition. This results in engineering requisitions with separate sub-positions for each different tag number.

      • When Aggregate SWT is selected, the MTO job includes the tag number in the GROUP-BY condition, but SWT is grouped by ident with tag number '---'.

    • When you select Template Structure or Balance in the MTO Option cell, the Tag Option cell is disable and set to Yes.

  2. Type the appropriate code in the Serial Execution Group cell to indicate which serial execution group MTO job incarnations of this type belong.

  3. Select the Material Grouped By from the list.

    • When MTO Option is set to Template Structure, this cell is disabled and set to None. When Standard or Balance is selected under MTO Option, it is optional to enter the parent MTO type data.

    • Select Commodity Code to group the materials by the commodity code.

    • Select Commodity Group to group the materials by the commodity group.

    • Select Commodity Part to group the materials by the commodity part.

    • Select Ident (Code) to group the materials by the ident code.

  4. Select the Line Item Order from the list.

    Entering data for the Line Item Order is optional.

  5. Select the Parent MTO Type from the list.

    When MTO Option is set to Template Structure or Balance, this cell is disabled. When Standard is selected under MTO Option, it is optional to enter the parent MTO type data.

  6. Select the appropriate idents to be excluded from the Exclude Ident list.

  7. Select the MTO Job Type from the list.

    • When you select All, Exclude Idents condition is considered for all MTO Jobs.

    • When you select Purchase Order, Exclude Idents condition is considered only for the MTO Jobs creating requisitions for purchase orders.

    • When you select Inquiry, Exclude Idents condition is considered only for the MTO Jobs creating requisitions for technical inquiries.

    • When you select None, Exclude Idents condition are not considered for any type of MTO job.

  8. Add the descriptions in the Short Description and Description cells.

    Only after you save the MTO Type Details, can you proceed to the BOM Set page.
