This window displays the records that have been directly traced by the MTO. These data are automatically created by the MTO job. If the list position of the BOM was deleted after the MTO job you will not see any entries for these deleted list positions.

Line items that are added manually to a requisition do not get a reference to a BOM position. Only when creating a line item, the BOM trace is maintained.

SHARED Tip To navigate to the Trace Logging window, on the Line Items tab, click the Display Options> Trace Logging.

To understand this window, you need to know the following:

Name

Description

Engineering Requisition

Name (code) of the source engineering requisition.

Supplement

Supplement of the engineering requisition

Purchase

Indicates whether the requisition can only be used for inquiries or for both inquiries and purchasing.

Origin

Name (code) of the origin

Position

Position below the BOM node.

Sub-Position

Sub-position below the BOM node.

Commodity Code

The commodity code for the material on this line item.

Size 1

Size one (Input 1) of the ident on this line item.

Size 2

Size two (Input 2) of the ident on this line item.

Ident Code

Ident code for the ident placed on this line item.

Trace (tab)

Name

Description

BOM Path

Path name of the material.

Position

Position below the BOM node.

Status

Short name describing the status of the BOM position.

Quantity

Ident quantity on the BOM position.

Delete

Press this button to delete the trace record without reducing the quantity of the corresponding requisition line item.

Delete and Reduce Quantity

Press this button to delete the trace record. The quantity of the corresponding requisition line item will be reduced by the quantity of the BOM position.

Name (code) of the list node.

Tag Number

Tag number of the position

Unit

Name (code) for the unit of the quantity.

Ident quantity on the BOM assembly
