On the Home page, click Bill of Materials > Manually Lock BOM.

Select the node from the BOM Tree.

Click Lock Selected Node to lock the selected node.
Alternatively, click Lock Subtree to lock the selected node and all its sub-nodes.

In the Manually Lock BOM window, enter the lock reason in the Reason cell.

In the Permissions block, do one or more of the following:

Select the Allow MTO check box to indicate that the MTO process can modify the BOM data.

Select the Allow Forecast Run check box to indicate that the forecast run process can modify the BOM data.

Select the Allow Reservation Run check box to indicate that the reservation run process can modify the BOM data.

Select the Allow Other Site Activity check box to indicate that other site activities can modify the BOM data.

Select the Allow Split Tag check box to indicate that splitting a tagged item can modify the BOM data.

In the Issue Status block, select

All to lock all positions with any issue status,
-
Selected and Lower to lock all positions with a particular and all lower issue statuses, or
-
Selected to lock the positions with a particular issue status.
When you choose any of the last two options, you must select an issue status.

Click Lock to lock the selected node.

To remove a lock from a BOM node, select the locked node in the BOM Lock Details block and click the Release Lock button.

Locks can only be released by the user who created the lock.

When a locked node is released, it is no longer displayed in the BOM Lock Details section.

If a node was locked with its sub-nodes, releasing the node also releases all its sub-nodes.
