During MTO jobs, a variety of documents are generated and attached to requisitions as per rules that are defined by the assigned document types.

Every document type suits a special need and is configured to be used in a particular way. Name rules that are used to define how document names are created during a MTO job, are usually fixed texts in combination with several predefined parameters. These parameters must be delimited by the special character #. This is done automatically when selecting the parameters from the select list. Free text must be entered without this special character. The name rules may contain a combination of the following:

Rule Element

Meaning

PROJ_ID

The actual login project

SERIAL_NUMBER

Generated automatically, Unique within each Document Type

DOCUMENT_TYPE

Code of the document type

CIP1

Function that returns the unit for Req Header/Req Line

CIP2

Function that returns the material code for Req Line

CIP3

Function to be implemented by customer in M_PCK_DOC_TYPE_CUSTOM

The entries are separated by a hash. For example: PROJ_ID#SERIAL_NUMBER#CIP1
