  1. To add a web page to Smart Materials Web, you must create a new menu item on the Roles and Menus > Menus page (see Define menus).

  2. Enter the name in the Menu Item cell, select BI_REPORT from the Menu Type drop-down list, and select BIR_CUST from the Parent Menu Item select list.

  3. Click the Globe button to open the Translated Descriptions dialog.

  4. Select the language from the Nls select list.

    <,>, and " are not allowed to be entered for Translated Descriptions.

  5. Enter the name in the Menu Name cell, a description in the Item Name cell, and the label in the Item Label cell.

    The Item Label text is shown in Smart Materials Web as a link. For example, the menu item with Item Label specified as 'My Custom Menu Entry' would appear as shown in the picture below.

  6. Next, add the new menu item to the user role to make it available in Smart Materials Web. For more information, see Define roles and role menus.

  7. To specify the link target (URL) for the new menu item, do the following:

    1. On the Home page, click Administration > BIR Administration > Manage Custom Menu URLs.

    2. Click Add Row.

    3. Select the Menu item Id from the list.

    4. Enter a link in the URL cell.

    5. Select No in BI Internal to specify a link to another Apex application within the same workspace.

    6. Select Yes in New Tab to specify that the page is opened in a new browser tab.
