This DBA setting controls the automatic updates of the rule-based ident codes, whenever a commodity code is updated by any of the following ways:

By a change in the group code on S.10.02

Change in the part code on S.10.03

Change in the table detail code on S.20.02

By selecting the Build One Commodity or Build CC for Part(s) buttons on S.30.01 page.

Module(s) affected by this setting: S1002, S1003, S2002, S3001, S3011

Valid values: Y and N.

If set to Y, then the rule-based ident codes associated with the commodity code are also updated.

If set to N, then the rule-based ident codes are not updated. If any update of the ident codes does not result in uniqueness (logical uniqueness as well), then the transaction fails, generating an appropriate message.
