Unit sets are used to combine specific units with unit systems. For example, for length, you define the unit set LENGTH and then you assign the unit M (meter) in combination with unit system METRIC, and the unit IN (inch) in combination with the unit system IMPERIAL to this unit set.

This unit set will now be assigned to the object parameters for parts with quantity unit M or IN, depending on the unit system. With the unit system assigned to project default ZX_UNITSYS, the correct quantity unit will be set automatically.

  1. Click the Organize Units tab, and then click Unit Sets.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Type the unit set name.

  4. Type the short description and description for the unit type and then click Save.

Assign a unit set to a unit system

  1. Click Add Row in the Unit Set to Systems section.

  2. Select a unit system from the Unit Systems list.

  3. Select a unit from the Unit list.

  4. Type the short description and then click Save.
