The List Status (or release status) is an indicator of the Status (condition) of the BOM positions. You must define and assign these indicators depending on what or how much
you want to control. This function can also be considered as a quality control function.
List Status has an ascending order of priority and can only be assigned in ascending
order during updates of the bill of material unless the issue status is increased.
To understand the meaning of this function, you need to know that each BOM position can be further identified with properties, for example, design temperature,
design pressure, SFI (Shop, Field, or Installed), Checked, and so forth. Also, the list status indicates
which of these properties have values. List status functions are completely user-definable;
that is, they are not hard-coded in the software. Some of the List Status functions are as follows:

This list status is the default status that is automatically assigned to a new position.

List Status 05-SFI

Shop, Field, or Installed
|
This list status is assigned to positions when the associated BOM position property
SFI has a value assigned; for example: S, F, or I.

List Status 10-MTO
|
Issued for MTO
|
If this list status is assigned, it means that the BOM position entry is based on
a spec is suitable for MTO (material take off).
|
|
List Status 20-IFC
|
Issued for Construction
|
If the BOM position property named ‘Checked’ has a value, list status 20 is assigned
to that position, that is the ident and quantity have been checked, and it is issued
for construction (Site).

List Status 50
|
Lock
|
This list status has the Lock indicator marked. If this list status is assigned to
a BOM position, it means that the node (isometry) is locked; that is, the ISO has been released (or issued) and cannot be updated.

On the Home page, click Bill of Materials >SETUP > List Status

Click Add Row.

Enter the name in the List Status cell and descriptions in the Short Description and Description cell.
List Statuses are mandatory.

Select Yes under Delete cell if you want to indicate that the BOM positions under this List Status can be deleted. Otherwise, select No.

Select Yes under the Locked cell if you want to indicate that this List Status position is locked for update. Otherwise, select No.
Locking relates to the entire node that is either all the positions of a node are
locked, or none are.

Select Yes under the Overwrite field to indicate that the list status can be overwritten during batch processing
by the verification function. Otherwise, select No.
