To create a new workload job, do the following:

  1. Click Create Workload Job.

  2. Type a unique job name in the Workload Job box.

  3. Optionally, describe the job in the Description box.

  4. Optionally, select a queue in the Queue Name box.

    The Queue Name list shows all queues that are available for selection for the logged in user. For administrators, all existing queues are available, but for a normal user only those queues are displayed which are available for the user. By default, the queue is selected which is marked as default.

  5. The next available priority within the selected queue is shown in the Priority box, with an increment of 10. If needed, you can update User can this value.

    If you select the same priority as another job, then both jobs will be executed at the same time.

  6. Optionally, select a procedure in the Procedure box.

    • This box is displayed only if DBA setting JOB_WORJLOAD_OPTION is set to PROCEDURE_LIST.

    • The procedures are pre-defined using Job Workload Procedures (see Define Job Workload Procedures).

  7. If parameters are available, specify the parameter values.

  8. The Executed PU box displays the program unit that is executed as part of the workload job. This value is editable only if DBA setting JOB_WORKLOAD_OPTION is set to PROCEDURE_LIST.

  9. If the job should not be used, set Active to No.

  10. Optionally, set Email Required to Yes if an automatic email should be sent when the job is executed.

  11. If Email Required is set to Yes, type a valid email address or a comma separated list of email addresses in the Email Address box. The software sends an email notification to the address(es) when the job is executed, depending on the Email Trigger setting.

  12. If Email Required is set to Yes, select a value from the Email Trigger list. This setting controls at what point the automatic email should be sent. Possible values are JOB_ALL, JOB_ERROR, or JOB_SUCCESS.

  13. If Email Required is set to Yes, enter the content of the email body to be used for sending the email in the Email Body box.

  14. Click Save.
