  1. Open a web browser.

  2. To launch the Smart Materials Web application, type this URL (replace <your_application_server>): http://<your_application_server>:8080/apex/f?p=101

  3. Enter your user name and password.

    Use your Smart Materials credentials to log in to Smart Materials Web.

    If your password is expired or you log in the first time, a dialog appears where you can change your password as follows:

    • Type the new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password boxes.

    • Click Set Password.

    • Acknowledge the message with OK.

    • If you forget the password, click Forgot Password.

      1. On the Login page, click Forgot Password.

      2. In the Forgot Password window, enter your Smart Materials username or email address and click Request Password.

        • On providing the correct Username/Email, an email will be sent to the registered email address with an OTP (one-time password) that is valid for only 60 seconds.

        • The registered email address/email address linked to user has to be unique.

      3. Toggle back to the Login page and enter the OTP in the Enter One-Time Password box and click Validate.

      4. In the Change Password window, enter a new password in the New Password box and the Confirm New Password box and click Set Password.

  4. If you want to change the default application language, select a value from the Language list.

    With the selected value, you define the language of the displayed UI elements. Depending on the specified glossary-language mappings, you can either select a glossary or a glossary-language mapping (see Define Glossary-Language Mappings).

  5. Select the data language you want to work with from the drop-down list.

    • The default language is fetched from the BI_REPORT_DATA_LANGUAGE DBA setting.

    • Language specific descriptions and MAR messages are displayed using the selected language.

    • ORA messages are displayed using browser language settings.

  6. Click Login.

    • You can login only once to Smart Materials Web within a browser session.

    • Log file created by login: m_bireport_api_......log.
