You can create a new widget and add it to an existing or a newly created dashboard. You can create and modify widgets through two ways:

  1. Through the Administration page

  2. Through the Dashboard page.

Through the Administration Page

  1. On the Home page, click Administration>GLOBAL SETUP.

  2. Click Dashboard Widgets. To add a new widget details, click Add Row.

  3. Enter the Widget Name, Description, and Summary. Select the Type of the widget.

    • Widget Name, Summary, and Type are mandatory columns.

    • Summary refers to the content that display as the main heading in the widget like Pending OSD available or Pending Requisitions.

  4. Select the View Name, Module, and Page Name from the drop-down.

    • View Name refers to the View builder query name that retrieves the data from the respective modules and displays it in a widget.

    • If Type is a Workload widget, then the View Name is a mandatory column.

    • Module name is a mandatory column

  5. Enter the Upper Threshold Value and select the Upper Threshold Color from the drop-down list.

    • Threshold values refer to a range that you want to provide for any widget. Widget mostly displays the counts of multiple items like pending requisitions or pending agreements and so on.

    • For example, if you want to retrieve the number of pending requisitions from a project, you can set an upper threshold value of 30, with threshold color red and a lower threshold value of 10 with color green. So, if a project has 30 or more pending requisitions, the widget displays in highlighted red color on the Dashboard.

    • For values within the range of the threshold (upper and lower), by default, the grey color is allocated by the application.

    • Threshold value is not a mandatory column, however if you are giving threshold value then threshold color is a mandatory field and vice-versa.

  6. Enter the Lower Threshold Value and select the Lower Threshold Color from the drop-down list.

  7. To add a role to the created widget, in the Widget Roles, click Add Row.

  8. Select the Role Name from the drop-down list and type the Description. Click Save.

Through the Dashboard page

  1. On the Home page, click Dashboard>Create.

  2. On Create Dashboard pop-up, on the left side, click Create Widget.

Dashboard Widgets page appears in a new window.

  3. To add a new widget details, click Add Row.

SHARED Tip You can also update and delete an existing widget of the selected Dashboard.

  4. Follow same steps from steps 3 to 8 as mentioned above in "Create widget through Administration Page".
