The new features of Smart Materials Web are separated by module.

Administration

  • Administrators can now mask sensitive project defaults on Project Defaults page. A button is provided for users to view or update their value after authentication. (3926816)

  • Generic bulk edit concept has been implemented. Bulk Update availability is controlled by administrative tables for every grid.. Bulk Update is not available by default. (3830674)

Bill of Materials

  • Enhancement of BOM Views : (3841949)

    • As part of the BOM Views new functionality, an option is provided to the usesr to add any existing property on the Tables and Properties page to the BOM Views properties using the new project default ZB_ALLPROP.

    • New column Type in the properties list helps to identify the type of the BOM property (DB Column, Node, Position, or Table ).

    • Enhanced the existing functionality of Populate Tab (previously Fill Tab Name) button to show the properties that are created in Classic BOM on the Maintain BOM page (creates attr_id column value from lva_id). This makes Classic Views more usable. Also, ‘BOM Web Compatible property is added to identify if the selected BOM view is web compatible or not.

  • Performance has been enhanced for properties value update on the Maintain BOM page. (3841959)

  • BOM Import process has been enhanced. An import file might have few or all node positions with attributes values. For attributes not present on Position properties page but added in FLC configuration, the position values are added on for the respective node positions rather than as position property. (3842006)

Companies

  • Companies Overview page has been implemented in Smart Materials Web. Users can create new company and grant portal access to the existing ones. They can also merge two companies. (3777410, 3777414, 3890383)

  • Company Details page is implemented. It includes following tabs - Company Information (Read only), Assigned Company Types (Editable), Addresses (Editable), Company Contacts (Editable), Company History (Read-only) (3779307)

  • Company Profile page has been implemented. (3777464)

  • Supplier Detail page has been partly implemented. (3777799)

  • Qualification Questions page has been implemented. (3777467)

  • Login Requests (Overview and Details) page has been implemented. (3777419)

General

  • User Password Encryption mechanisms have been updated. Also, some pre-defined reports are provided through which user can generate reports.(3053117)

  • Secure File Upload now works with both: public Metadefender Cloud and with Metadefender on prem. With this enhancement users can configure metadefender using APIs on public Metadefender Cloud and with Metadefender on prem. (3905339)

Procurement

  • Routing Method Setup page has been implemented. Delivery designations can be defined on Administration -> Materials Setup -> Delivery Designations page. (3728561)

  • It’s now possible to restrict changes to routing methods that are already in use. This can be done with the help of project default ZP_RM_UPD. (2320285)

  • Questionnaire -> Commercial Question Sets and Questionnaire ->Technical Question Sets pages have been developed. (3728536)

  • Materials and Services setup page has been implemented. (3728538)

  • Container Setup -> Container Numbers page has been implemented. (3746761)

  • Questionnaire -> Questions page has been implemented. Registration questions are of two types – Company Profile and Qualifications. Bid evaluation questions are also grouped as – Commercial Questions and Technical Questions. (3728535, 3892865, 3892905, 3892995, 3892848, 3892958)

  • Users can now attach a document to quote summary RfA (3938114)

  • Inspection Setup -> Fabrication/Inspection Locations page has been implemented. (3938037)

  • Expediting Overview -> Release Notes page has been implemented. Release notes are created from this page. This also includes Approval Sequence functionality. (3990961)

  • Following elements have been developed for Expediting module to allow a simpler workflow. (3742796)

    • Overview grid to allow pre-selection of agreements. After a user clicks Apply Item Shipments grid populates the data.

    • Item Shipments grid is now editable with proper validation upon saving.

    • Agreement Number now acts as a hyperlink to allow navigation to Release Note Header Details page.

    • Release Note page allows creation and modification of release note headers with proper validations in place.

    • With the Release Note Headers , users can now navigate back to Item Shipment grid to assign item shipments to the Release Note number using the select list.

  • A page has been implemented to maintain the release notes. Users can now click a button to view and maintain the destination dates. (3742792)

  • Approval sequence functionality is implemented for release notes. (3969939)

  • A page has been implemented where users can maintain materials and service types and materials or services in procurement module setup. (3840799)

  • Materials and Services page has been implemented under the Supplier tab in the Companies module. Also, following two new project defaults have been introduced. (3777801)

    • ZP_OWN_SUB - Sum of values in Own Forces and Subcontract for a Material or Service must add to 100.

    • ZP_ANU_SAL - Sum of values in Annual Sales column for a supplier must not exceed 100.

  • On the Packages page, users can now download the excel file seamlessly even when the grid is empty. They can also create own customized excel templates. However, users have to define custom validations (such as LOV's), and so on. This has also been implemented in the Smart Materials Portal. (3895166)

Requisition

  • A new project default ZR_EASYREQ has been introduced to govern if a requisition is created in fewer steps as compared to standard process.Upon setting ZR_EASYREQ to ‘Y’, the Requisition Template page gets loaded in place of Requisition Nodes page during the MTO Job execution. On this page, the user can run the workflows as it exists today in Nodes and Templates page. The requisition node creation is done automatically with the MTO type name in this scenario. (3743297)

  • Simplified Query Condition Screen has been implemented. (3894947)

  • Where conditions have been enhanced in the Requisition Template page. Users have the flexibility of using existing where conditions or creating a new one. (3743332)

  • Requisition Split, Disposition Rule set, Document set, email template pages are hidden (3743335)

Site

  • Several enhancements have been made on Information by Commodity page. These include the following:

    • Ident code is no longer mandatory to run a query

    • When a user runs a query with an ident code, commodity code details are also populated.

    • Tag number and sizes are added to the query criteria.

    • Introduced a new grid to display the results of the query. (3843453)

  • Several enhancements have been made on Inventory History page. These include the following:

    • Ident code is no longer mandatory to run a query

    • When a user runs a query with an ident code, commodity code details are also populated.

    • Introduced a new grid to display the results of the query. (3004795)

  • Several enhancements have been made on Inventory Management page. These include the following:

    • Five group by attributes are added to the page.

    • Ident Deviation and Ident Short Description are moved to the main view area from the collapsible panel

    • Introduced a new project default - ZC_REVIND (3728394)

  • If ZP_LOT_SHP value is set to N, lot packages can no longer participate in shipment process and are available directly for material receiving in site. (3874199)

Subcontract Management

  • Upon creating a change order from the COR Workload page, users can now opt to get redirected to the latest approved supplement of the agreement.(3125764)

  • Change Management’ -> Field Work Directives page has been implemented. (508871, 3864753)

  • Add Row button has been changed to Create PCO , to make creation of potential change orders (PCO) more intuitive. (2780340)

  • When a user clicks Submit to submit the item codes and an approval list is assigned to the project default ZP_APRSOV, now an approval list gets is created and can be seen on the Approval Sequence page. (2832630)
