Labor rates for subcontracts can be specified on the Labor Rates page.

The Labor Rates option is only available for subcontract inquiries.

  1. Click Financials - Labor Rates on the menu.

  2. Click Add Row to create a new labor rate.

  3. Click Rate Type LOV_Icon and select a rate type.

    Alternatively, type the rate type if it's not available in the list.

  4. Enter the rate type description in the Short Description and Description cells.

    You can change the description that is populated from the selected rate type.

  5. Type the value of this rate type in the Base Rate cell.

  6. Select Hour, Day, or Week from the Rate Unit list.

  7. In the General and Administrative % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to the general and administrative expenses.

  8. In the Overhead and Profit % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to the overhead and profit expenses without fringe benefits.

  9. In the Fringe Benefits % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to fringe benefits.

  10. In the Small Tools and Consumables % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to small tools and consumables.

  11. In the Payroll Taxes % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to payroll taxes.

  12. In the Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance % cell, enter the percentage of the labor rate applied to worker compensation and liability insurance.

    Total Straight Time Bill Rate displays the total time rate calculated as the sum of the base rate value including the surcharges entered in the before mentioned percentage fields. This value is calculated as:

    Base Rate + Base Rate x (General and Administrative/100) + Base Rate x (Overhead and Profit/100) + Base Rate x (Fringe Benefits/100) + Base Rate x (Small Tools and Consumables/100) + Base Rate x (Payroll Taxes/100) + Base Rate x (Workers Comp and Liability Ins/100)

  13. In the Overtime cell, type the overtime charges as a percentage of the labor rate.

  14. In the Double Time cell, type the double-time charges as a percentage of the labor rate.

  15. In the Shift Differential cell, type the shift differential charges as a percentage of the labor rate.

  16. Click Save.
