You can create a price breakdown that includes the goods, services, or packages separated into their components and listed under headings such as materials, labor, shipping and handling, taxes, and so forth.

  1. Click Financials - Price Breakdown on the menu.

  2. Click Add Row and create a new price breakdown item.

  3. Type a code for the price breakdown item in the Item Code cell.

  4. Type the item description in the Description cell.

  5. Optionally, enter an Account Code.

  6. Optionally, enter an Activity Code.

  7. Type the estimated cost for the material in the Material Total cell.

    In this case, “material” refers to those materials that enter directly into the end product or that are used or consumed directly in connection with the furnishing of the end product or service.

  8. Type the estimated cost for construction equipment for this item in the Construction Equipment Total cell.

  9. Type the estimated cost for the consumables for this price breakdown item in the Consumables Total cell.

    SHARED Tip For example, welding electrodes and inert gas are consumables.

  10. Type the estimated costs for this price breakdown item that could not be added to the material, construction equipment, or consumables totals in the Others Total cell.

  11. If you want to change the currency, click Currency LOV_Icon and select another currency from the list.

  12. Optionally, enter a comment on the selected price breakdown item in the Comment cell.

  13. Click Save.

  14. To enter labor costs, click the number in the Labor Total cell and do the following:

    • Click Add Row.

    • Type a sequence number in the Seq cell.

    • Click Labor Classification LOV_Icon and select a rate type.

    • Type the estimated number of labor hours in the Hours cell.

    • Type the hourly rate in the Unit Rate cell.

      • The total is calculated by multiplying the hours with the unit rate and displayed in the Total cell. This value cannot be changed.

      • The currency is populated from the price breakdown and cannot be changed.

    • Click Save.

    • Return to the price breakdown overview.
