On the Progress and Payment - SOV Progress page, you can track the progress of schedule of values (SOV).

The Progress and Payment - Schedule of Values page is only available for agreements of type Subcontract with payment type Schedule of Values.

  1. On the Home page, click Subcontracts to enter the Subcontracts dashboard.

  2. Click the respective Agreement Number to enter the Progress and Payment - SOV Progress page.

On the SOV Progress page, you can track the progress of agreement line items.

  3. From the left navigation panel, click Progress and Payment - SOV Progress.

  4. In the SOV Progress block, click Add Progress to autopopulate a Period Progress Number.

  5. In the Progress tab, select the period start date in the From box and the period end date in the To box and click Save.

If you want to get paid in advance for some work, goods, or services, you can enter a value in the Other Adjustments box. If you enter a value in the Other Adjustments box, you will probably need to compensate for it later by entering a negative value. For example, in period 1, you enter 1000 to get an advanced payment. Then, in period 8, if you want to get your account balance, you would enter -1000.

  6. In the Details Tab, click Add Progress to open the Items Shipment window.

The Add Progress button is only enabled if you are creating the first progress number or if all existing progress numbers are approved.

  7. Select the appropriate Item Code number in the Add Item window and click Fill In.

  8. When an activity has been completed within the period, enter the date of completion in the Actual End Date cell.

  9. To edit the actual labor hours of the period, do the following:

    1. Click Details in the Labor Hours cell.

The Details link is only available if labor details are defined for the selected price breakdown item.

    2. For each record, type the number of hours spent in the period in the Actual Hours cell.

    3. Click Save.

    4. Click Period Progress Details to return to the previous page.

  10. In the Actual Hours cell, type the hours that were spent for this activity in the current period.

The Actual Hours cell is only editable if no labor details are defined for the selected price breakdown item. Otherwise, the actual hours are populated from the labor details.

  11. In the Forecast Hours to Complete cell, type the estimated hours to complete this activity.

  12. Type the percentage of progress for this period in the Period Progress cell.

  13. Alternatively, type the progress value for this period in the Period Completed Value cell.

If you enter the period progress percentage, the period completed value is calculated, and vice versa.

  14. Click Save.
