Traditionally, it is possible that screen modules are assigned to more than one license module.

In the old license concepts, in case of more than one relation, the decision which license to take was made by counting the current percentage usage of seats of the respective license modules. This is changed from version 8.1 onwards. Now the license seats of the least sequence (see table in License Module Assignment) will be exhausted before the next license module will be accounted.

A menu module assignment to a payable license module plus an assignment to ADM is not supported. Though the relation can be created from the data model, ADM is never considered if one or more commercial license modules are also associated to the same menu module.

When the license module is selected, the software tries to acquire a related seat from the license pool. This attempt might be repeated for different modules in the sequence till the effort is successful.

For example, if a user opens a traffic screen which is assigned to the older MSCM license module as well as to the SPMAT license module, the software will first use up all available MSCM seats before trying to get a seat of SPMAT from the license pool. In case customer has both MSCM and SPMAT licensed, this is an advantage, because MSCM seats are cheaper and more granular. If a customer has not licensed MSCM, he should deactivate MSCM in A.30.04 to save time querying ISL for the respective seat.
