Typically, each screen is assigned to more than one license module.
When a screen is opened, the software tries to acquire a related seat from the license pool. This attempt might be repeated for different modules in the sequence till the effort is successful. The license seats of the least sequence (see table in License Module Assignment) will be exhausted before the next license module will be accounted
For example, if a user opens a traffic screen which is assigned to the older MSCM license module as well as to the SPMAT license module, the software will first use up all available MSCM seats before trying to get a seat of SPMAT from the license pool. In case customer has both MSCM and SPMAT licensed, this is an advantage, because MSCM seats are cheaper and more granular. If a customer has not licensed MSCM, he should deactivate MSCM in A.30.04 to save time querying ISL for the respective seat.
