Database Service Packs cannot be rolled back. If the Service Pack installation fails or if you face any problems after installing the Service Pack, see Troubleshooting for further instructions.

To install the Service Pack for Smart Materials database, do the following;

  1. Open the SMatDB folder.

  2. Double-click MAT_DB_Setup_ SPxx_v.v.v.v.v.exe (xx replaced by the current Service Pack number and v.v.v.v.v replaced by the current version).

    If you are not logged in as an administrator, right-click MAT_DB_Setup_SPxx_v.v.v.v.v.exe and select Run as administrator.

  3. Click Start Setup.

    SHARED Tip Click the Installation Guide link to open Intergraph Smart Materials Service Pack.

  4. Type your username and company.

  5. If needed, change the default installation path.

  6. Select the features you want to install.

  7. Click Install.

  8. Select your country from the list to view the license agreement in your language.

    SHARED Tip You can click the Print button to print the license agreement.

  9. Select I agree to the license agreement and conditions and click Install.

  10. When the installation completes successfully, select View Readme, and click Finish.

  11. Open a Command Prompt window and navigate to the installation folder.

  12. Type the following commands:

    Set ORACLE_HOME=C:\oracle\18c_Sta\db

    Set ORACLE_SID=SMAT

  13. Open SQLPLUS /nolog

  14. Type @install_upgrade.sql, and press ENTER.

  15. Press ENTER

  16. When prompted, enter the database SID, SYS password, and M_SYS password, and press ENTER.

  17. When the prerequisites are ok, press ENTER to continue.

  18. If the Service Pack installation completes, check the logfiles in the \installation_logs and \import sub-folders.

  19. If you have customized any custom packages, and these packages have been updated with the Service Pack, you must do the following to restore your customizations:

    • Open the \installation_logs sub-folder and find the relevant file. Each custom package is stored in a separate file.

    • Use a development tool, for example SQL Navigator, to edit the updated custom package.

    • After restoring your customizations, save the package.
