If you observe a 'Malformed Request' error message, it might be caused by the client/user machine time that is not in sync with the server time. To resolve this issue, do the following on the client machine:

Open a command prompt window.

Execute (optionally, replace <servername> with the name of your server, or leave it out to take the default):
net time <servername>
Now the error message should no longer appear.
Ensure that the server time is correctly set.
