Project dependent licensing is only available in Smart Materials Classic.
In Smart Materials Classic, you can specify the maximum number of licenses that a project can use for the selected license module. In the Project Licenses section on the A.30.04 License Modules/Menus screen, select the project from the select list in Project and enter the maximum number of licenses for this project in the Max. Licenses Allowed field.
Whenever a screen is opened, the software checks the number of project users accessing the license module to which the screen belongs. If the check is violated, and no other matching license for the screen is available, the screen is closed after showing a message.
Project licenses are database-related, because it is unlikely that the same project is spread over different databases. Of course, clustered DB configuration with multiple nodes is covered in this concept.
The project dependent quotas are optional, and they are a subset of the ISL licenses purchased from Intergraph. This means, the maximum number of seats is limited by the overall number available in the license pool.
