Navigate to the application server location: [Installation location]\Program Files\INTERGRAPH\Smart Materials 10.1\Web\prompts\.

Copy Prompts.en.xml and rename it to your preferred language. For example, for German translation, the file should be named as Prompt.de.xml.

Open the new file, for example Prompt.de.xml.

Translate each of the user interface element to your preferred language.
Each user interface element has an ID and a value associated with it. You need to change the value to your preferred language, as in the below example:

Save the file.

Navigate to <Product folder>\SPMAT.

Open Intergraph.WPF.Apps.SMATApplication.exe.config in edit mode.

Add the required prompt language. For example for the German language prompt, set add key to “de” and value key to “de-DE:2” (this is, culture name in the format xx-YY (xx representing the language, YY representing the country), followed by the corresponding NLS_ID from the database table m_nls, in the format :n), as shown in the below screen shot:

Save the file.

Navigate to the tools folder.

Open a command prompt window and execute install_or_update_spmat.cmd.

Navigate to [Installation location]\Program Files\INTERGRAPH\Smart Materials 10.1\DeploymentFolder\[DB]\appstore\Intergraph.WPF.APPS.SPMatApplication2\0000\Intergraph.WPF.APPS.SPMatApplication2.minset.zip, and delete the Intergraph.WPF.APPS.SPMatApplication2.minset.zip folder.

Restart IIS.
