  1. Scroll down to the Contacts section.

  2. Click Add Contact Com_Add ICON.

    The Manage Contact dialog opens.

  3. Type the contact code (up to ten characters) in the Employee box.

  4. Select the Primary Contact check box if this is the supplier's primary contact person.

  5. Type the contact's first name, last name, position, and department in the corresponding boxes.

  6. Optionally, enter the contact's phone number.

  7. If required, you can select the address type from the list in the Address Type box to specify the user as the default addressee for the company address with this address type.

  8. Optionally, enter a comment in the Comment box, for example, about the employee's function.

  9. In the Expiration Date box, you can define the date when the user account will expire.

After this date, the user can no longer login to the Portal.

  10. Optionally, select the Deactivated check box to temporarily deactivate the contact.

A deactivated contact person cannot login to the Portal anymore.

  11. Optionally, select the Disabled check box to disable the contact, for example, when the employee permanently leaves the company.

A disabled contact person cannot login to the Portal anymore and cannot be selected as a contact anywhere in Smart Materials.

The following information is created automatically and cannot be changed:

  • The Client User ID is filled by the CIP function m_pck_company_custom.get_client_user_id; the standard CIP inserts the employee code (CCP_CODE). It will be used as the user account for the Portal login.

  • The date when the user has logged in to the Portal the last time is displayed in Last Login.

  • The date when the contact was created in Smart Materials is shown in Creation Date.

  • Any modification of the contact data sets the Modification Date.
