You can define expediting/inspection levels and events to specify the expediting/inspection scope. The events are used to monitor critical tasks in the fabrication and supply process, drawing your attention by triggering warnings if the forecasted and actual dates do not match and helping you to identify risks and take corrective actions early.

Levels

To define a level and assign events, do the following:

  1. In the Master Data navigation panel, select Procurement > Levels and Events.

  2. Click Add Level Com_Add ICON.

  3. Type a unique code in the Level box.

  4. Select the level type from the Type list.

  5. Type the level Short Description and Description.

  6. To assign an event to the level click Add Event Com_Add ICON, update the sequence in the Seq box if required, and click Event Com_LOV_Add ICON to select a pre-defined event.

Alternatively, you can create a new event on-the-fly as follows:

    • Click Create Event Com_Tag_New.

    • Type the unique event code in the Event box.

    • Type the event Short Description and Description.

    • Click Save and close the dialog.

  7. After saving, click the event name to open the Manage Event Details dialog.

  8. To indicate this is a critical event, select Critical.

  9. Select a value from the Recurrence list to specify the frequency of the event, which means how often and how long the event will take place.

  10. If the recurrence is Weekly, Monthly or Specific, define for which period it is specified, by selecting the number of days, weeks or months.

  11. If the recurrence is Specific, select the number of Days after which the event should repeat.

  12. Select a value from the Event Start list to set the date on which the event should take place for the first time.

  13. If Event Start is set to Agreement Approval, you can optionally select the Skip this event check box to prevent the software from scheduling this event immediately for the day of the agreement approval. Instead, the event will be scheduled later depending on the frequency you have specified:

    • Once - The event will be scheduled one day after the agreement approval day.

    • Weekly - The event will be scheduled one week after the agreement approval day.

    • Monthly - The event will be scheduled one month after the agreement approval day.

    • Specific - The event will be scheduled as many days after the agreement approval day which are specified in Days.

  14. If Event Start is set to Specific Date, select the Start Date.

  15. If Event Start is set to After previous Event, select the previous event from the Choose Event list and the number of Days the event should be scheduled after the previous one.

  16. Click Save to save the changes and close the dialog.

SHARED Tip To delete a level that is defined in the selected project and discipline and that is not in use anywhere, click Delete Level ICON Remove.
