If the answer type of the question is LOV or Multiple Answers, and the question is not mapped to a screen field, you must define a select list.

  1. Click the question.

  2. Click the Select List tab.

  3. To define manual select list entries, click Manual Entries, and do the following:

    1. Click Add Value Com_Add ICON.

    2. Type a value in the Value box.

    3. Optionally, type a description in the Short Description box.

    4. To add more values, repeat the previous steps.

    5. Click Save.

When specifying multiple entries, ensure that the sum total of the number of characters of all entries (including separators after each entry) is less than or equal to 4000. Otherwise, users might get error when selecting those entries.

  4. To define a SQL statement to generate the select list, click SQL Statement and do the following:

    1. Type the statement in the Select List Statement box.

    2. Click Save.

The software checks if the entered SQL statement is valid.

      • The select statement must return exactly two values per record.

      • Do not add a semicolon at the end.
