Purpose

This section explains how to run a materials forecast to simulate materials availability.

Exercise

  1. Open the C.30.01 Forecast Run screen from the Smart Materials > Site > Field Material Control > C.30 Construction Planning menu branch.

  2. Click the Exe Query button to view the FR-TRAIN01 forecast run.

  3. Click Start to launch the forecast procedure.

    The job status changes to FORECASTED when the run is successful.

  4. Open the Fastcall menu in the upper right corner.

  5. Select C.30.02 Reserved Nodes from the menu.

  6. Select a BOM node in the BOM Path field.

  7. Open the Fastcall menu in the upper right corner.

  8. Select C.30.03 Reserved Positions from the menu.

  9. Select the Quantities (BOM) tab to check the BOM position quantities.

  10. Select the Quantities (FR/RR) tab to check the quantities calculated by the forecast run.

  11. Close the screen.

    You return to C.30.02.

  12. Repeat steps 6 to 10 for the other BOM nodes.

  13. Close the screen by selecting File > Close All from the main menu.
