You can find a detailed description of how to set project defaults and the purpose and usage of each project default in MSCM Project Defaults (ZP).

Some of the project defaults must be set before you start working on quotes. Others are optional depending on the detailed workflow established by the project. The project defaults listed below must be set before creating a quote in a project.

Project Default

Comment

ZX_CURCY

Default currency for the project.

ZP_VIRTBID

If this project default is set to Y, a virtual bidder is displayed as the last bidder representing the best bid. Data for this virtual bidder is only available if for at least one bidder prices have been entered.

If the project default is set to N (default), only the bidders that have been assigned to the inquiry are shown on P.30.22 Commercial Evaluation and the awarding screen.

ZP_PROP_TE

This project default controls whether and how the technical evaluation for an inquiry/bid, its line items, or ident values is passed on to the overview on P.30.23 Technical Evaluation.

If the project default is set to 0 (zero, default), the TE Passed check box and the Tech Eval Comp Date field on the Overview tab are not set automatically, regardless of which updates are processed in the subsequent tabs.

If the project default is set to 1, the TE Passed check box and Tech Eval Comp Date field are set in the overview for a bidder as soon as on one of the subsequent tabs the TE Passed check box is set for all records of that bidder.

If the project default is set to A, the TE Passed check box and Tech Eval Comp Date field are set in the overview for a bidder as soon as the TE Passed check box is set for all records of that bidder on all subsequent tabs.
