Delivery designations are entered on requisition line items in the E&PI(Req) module. The delivery designation can be defined on the A.10.39 Delivery Designations screen.

Each delivery designation must be associated with a delivery type. Typical types might be: Pre-Fabrication Shops, Field, Paint Shops, and so forth.

Example: The delivery designation S1 (subcontractor 1) might be associated with the delivery type Pre-Fabrication Shops if this subcontractor is responsible for pre-fabrication.

The optional Routing Method field is used to define a default routing method for a delivery designation. This default is used when creating item shipments for an agreement. Routing methods can be defined on the P.10.53 Routing Methods screen.

The delivery designation is information already placed on the line items of an engineering requisition. When an agreement is created for the requisition, the delivery designation is copied to the item shipments. Additionally, the routing method of the item shipments is filled with the default defined here. When the delivery designation of an item shipment is changed, the default routing method is used as well.
