Object parameters are defined on the S.10.04 Object Parameter screen.

Enter the name of the object parameter in the Object field and the object parameter descriptions in the Short Desc and Description fields. Select a unit set from the LOV in the Unit Set field. Unit sets are defined on the A.10.07 Unit Sets screen.

Object parameter details are defined on the S.10.05 Object Parameter Detail screen.

In the first (Object Parameters) block, select the object parameter you want to break down into the details. In the second (Parameter Detail) block, assign the attributes to the object parameter.

Enter a unique number in the No. field. This number represents the column number in the geometric details table. Select the Input? indicator for all input values, that is, the Input_1 to Input_5 columns of the geometric. Select the attribute name from the LOV in the Attr Name field, and then the attribute descriptions are displayed in the Short Desc and Description fields. This attribute must match the attribute assigned to the corresponding geometric column. Select the Ident? indicator for all attributes that are used to build idents. Clear the Opt? check box for mandatory attributes. You can enter an attribute name in the Name field that is different from the name in the Attr Name field. This name is used in the object parameter layout. Select the unit from the LOV in the Unit field and the kind of object parameter details from the drop-down list in the Kind of Detail field.

The attribute ASS_NO must be assigned to Input_5, that is, enter 5 in the No. field and select the Input? indicator for the ASS_NO attribute. Otherwise, the build assembly procedure won’t work.

Click the Next Block button to open Window 2, where the object parameter layout is defined.

You can enter any text, or select the attributes assigned to this object parameter from the LOV.

On the S.10.06 Part Object Parameter screen, assign the object parameter to the part defined for flange unions.

Select the assembly group in the first (Commodity Groups) block. In the second (Parts with Object Parameters) block, select the part code from the LOV in the Part field and the object parameter from the LOV in the Object field. Click the Save button to save this record.
