Variation rates are used to manage price changes. Variation rates can be specified on the Variation Rates tab.

Select the rate type from the LOV in the Rate Type field. The LOV provides all the rate types of rate groups 'Materials' and 'Other'. If you manually enter a new rate type, it will not be added to the pre-defined list of rate types on P.10.39. You can double-click in this field to open the P.10.39 Rate Types screen where allowance rates are defined.

The rate type descriptions are displayed in the Short Desc and Description fields.

Select the quantity unit from the LOV in the Quantity Unit field. You can double-click in this field to open the A.10.12 Units of Measure screen where units are defined.

Enter the wage base of this variation rate type in the Rate Value field, with its currency in the Currency field. By default, the agreement currency is filled in. But you can change it by selecting another currency from the LOV. You can double-click in this field to open the A.10.12 Units of Measure screen where currency units are defined.
