Material with item type SWT (Standard with Tag) is placed on BOM positions with the same ident code, but individual tag numbers. When creating the requisitions, you can set the Tag Option of the MTO type to Yes, No, or Aggregate SWT.

With the Tag Option set to Yes, a requisition line item is created for each individual tag number, and subsequently the inquiry and agreement have separate line items for each tag number. As a result, you can receive this material in the normal way, creating an inventory receipt item for each individual tag number.

With the Tag Option set to No or Aggregate SWT, the MTO job does not consider the tag number of SWT type material. Multiple BOM positions with different tag numbers but the same ident code result in one line item on the engineering requisition with the summarized quantity. To allow the assignment of received material to the BOM positions to forecast/reserve and issue by reservation, you can do the following:

After receiving the ordered material on an MRR by PO (screen C.20.01) or on an MRR by Release Note (screen C.20.04), double-click in the Tag Number field to open Window 5.

TagRecv01

In the Inventory Receipt Tags block, open the LOV in the Tag Number field and select the BOM positions/tag numbers which you want to assign to the received material. Click Fill In, and close the dialog.

TagRecv02

The assigned tag numbers with the corresponding quantities are shown in Window 5. Close this dialog.

TagRecv03

The Tag Number field is highlighted with magenta background color, which indicates that tag numbers are assigned to this item.

TagRecv04

The inventory receipt item is stored in the m_inv_receipts table, with tag_number '---'. The assigned tag number are stored in the m_inv_receipt_tags table, with a reference to the m_inv_receipts record.

The tagged items are displayed in the inventory as stock receiving, not as MRR receiving.

TagRecv05

In the downstream process, these tagged items are available for forecast and reservation runs, and for issue by reservation or by BOM.
