The first required action for all requisitions is to assign a responsible buyer. For this action, the user needs the ASSIGN BUYER privilege.

Without an assigned buyer, no action can be performed with a requisition. If a buyer is assigned, depending on the user security setup, two options for collaboration in the purchasing department are possible:

  • All buyers can see and work on all requisitions

  • Each buyer can only see his assigned requisitions

The picture below shows P.30.01 with the context set to All, which means the user is able to see all requisitions.

When you double-click the Context field, the A.60.61 screen opens, where you can change the ER Workload context. In the following example, it has been set to Own.

After accepting the change, P.30.01 only shows the requisitions that are assigned to the login user.

If A.60.61 is assigned to the user by an administrator, access to A.60.61 can be restricted by the user role. This allows the buyer to only see and work on his assigned requisitions.
