The next step is to run an MTO (material take off) job with various runtime parameters in compliance with the requirements. The result of this process is the generation of requisitions. The requisitions contain all material quantity information. Any other information that is required to be passed from Engineering to Procurement, such as specifications, VDRs, and delivery destinations, is added after the requisition has been generated.

  1. Open the R.20.01 MTO Jobs screen.

  2. Select the Plate MTO type in the MTO Type box.

  3. Type the job name in the Job box.

  4. Type the job description in the Short Desc and Description boxes.

  5. Select a list status in the Min. List Status box.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Start to run the job.

  8. Click Online.

  9. When the job succeeded, a message box shows the number of created requisitions and line items.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Close R.20.01.

  12. Open the R.30.01 Maintain Requisitions screen.

  13. Type PLATE% in the Engineering Requisition box and click Run query.

  14. Double-click the requisition to open Window 2.

    • The New List Quantity box shows the aggregated BOM quantity.

    • The Released Quantity box shows the BOM quantity + 10% for contingency with rounded up quantity, according to the disposition rule.

    • The plate sizes are displayed in the X-DIM and Y-DIM boxes.

  15. Update the released quantity when needed.

  16. Enter the required on site date in the ROS Date box for all line items.

  17. Enter the delivery designation for all line items.

  18. Click Save and close Window 2.

  19. Approve and release the requisition to procurement.
