Smart Materials/Smart Reference Data Version
10.1

When the inquiry approval is started, Smart Materials asks you what you want to do with the e-mail notification.

The following message appears:

Yes (Notify all) - Using this selection, Smart Materials takes the existing e-mail addresses, either from the company address or from the contact address depending on the project default ZP_USECON, for all suppliers/subcontractors assigned as bidders to the inquiry and with the RFQ Email flag set, and sends the e-mail messages.

If no valid e-mail address can be found for a supplier/subcontractor, an error message occurs. The approval is done, but no e-mail is initiated. This condition is also true if the send process reports an error.

You can go to the A.60.55 Emails screen to check the e-mail messages and correct wrong addresses or add missing addresses. Unsent e-mail messages can be sent from the A.60.55 screen by clicking the Send unsent Emails button.

No (Check first) - Using this selection, the software does the same as described above under Yes, except does not send the e-mail messages. When acknowledging with No, the A.60.55 Emails screen automatically opens, displaying the unsent e-mail messages. After correcting or completing, these e-mail messages can be sent by clicking the Send unsent Emails button.

Cancel (Override notification) - Using this selection, the approval is done but no e-mail messages are prepared or sent.

Here is an example e-mail sent to bidders:
