Now you can attach the deviation/alternate attribute to a line item to store information about an alternate or deviation. For example, open the P.30.22 Commercial Evaluation screen, double-click a bidder to open Window 2, and select a quote detail for which you want create an alternate. Click Create Alternate.
An alternate is used to specify alternate price, delivery time, delivery place, and
so forth. But it can also be used to create an alternate technical description using
the deviation/alternate attribute.
The selected quote detail is copied, the new line can be identified by the 1 in the Alt box. Select this new quote detail, and click Item Attachments.
On the D.90.21 Attachments screen, click the Attributes tab. Use the LOV in the Name box to select the DEVIATION attribute, and type the alternate description in the Value box.
After saving and closing D.90.21, the ident is highlighted with red background color to indicate the alternate.
Once the commercial evaluation of the bid is completed and the item with the alternate is selected during the awarding, the information specified for the deviation/alternate attribute is transferred to downstream screens.
After awarding has been approved, create an agreement based on the quote summary.
On the Line Items tab on P.50.07 Maintain Agreements Window 2, the position with the alternate is also highlighted with red background color.
Click Attachments and open the Attributes tab on D.90.21 to view the technical description of the alternate.
