Generally the status of a requisition is either OPEN, APPROVED, or CLOSED. When a requisition is created, the status is set to OPEN. When the requisition is approved, the status is set to APPROVED. When the requisition is released to procurement, the status will be set to CLOSED. If the procurement staff has not started to work on this requisition (for example, they created an inquiry for this requisition), you can change the status from CLOSED back to OPEN. To change the requisition status, you can use the third (Update any Requisition Status) block.

Move the cursor into the Engineering Requisition field of the third block, click the Enter Query button, and open the LOV. Select the requisition you want to modify and click the Exe Query button. Next, click into the Status field and open the LOV using the List of Values button. Select the status from the LOV, click OK, and click the Save button.

Resetting the status of a requisition means at the same time that the approval and the release to procurement are undone. The requisition can be modified again and must be marked as ready for approval before it can be approved and released once more.

If the project default ZP_MS_TRCK is set to Y, which means automatic milestone tracking, the actual date of the milestone for the event 'R.30.01 - Requisition Approval' will also be removed.

The status of an engineering requisition can only be changed if:

  • the user is logged in with the discipline of the requisition

  • no higher supplements of this requisition exist

  • in case of an inquiry requisition, the requisition is not linked with a purchase requisition

  • procurement has not started to work on this requisition, that is, they have not created an inquiry or agreement based on the requisition

  • in case of an inquiry-only requisition, procurement has not created a PO requisition at the end of the inquiry cycle
