The number of configurations among which a user is allowed to select his favorite can be limited by assigning configurations to a role. In this way, you can restrict the accessibility of sensitive fields such as price fields. This feature is only available for the CWS (core workflow screens). For more information, see CWS Configurations.

If for a menu item, no configuration is assigned to the user's role, he can select among all available configurations for that screen, and he can create new configurations containing all available fields.

If at least one configuration has been assigned to the user's role, he can only select among these configurations. When creating or modifying existing configurations, only fields covered by the assigned configurations are available.

SHARED Tip Using this feature, you should not assign the A.30.13 screen to the role(s) with a limited number of configurations assigned. Otherwise, the users will be able to add any field to the configurations on the A.30.13 screen, despite the restriction made on the configurations tab for the role.

Mandatory fields cannot be hidden in any way, not even by the assignment of configurations to a role.

If you take back the assignment of a configuration to a role, the assignments of (favorite) configurations to users are updated as well.

Select the Default indicator to specify a configuration as the default. Only one configuration per screen can be marked as the default. If a configuration is marked as the default, this one is used when the associated screen is called and no configuration has been selected so far.
