On the A.20.06.02 User Securities for Projects screen, you define which user is allowed to work in which project and in which discipline. To establish the user’s access rights to the screens and data, you also assign a role, which was pre- defined in the A.30.03 Roles/Menus screen. With the Active indicator, you can activate or de-activate a user from the logon screen.

With the assigned view name, you define the attribute access rights in the BOM module. This entry will be used on the B.10.06 BOM Views screen to define the BOM user views.

With the assigned section, you can limit the availability of requisitions, inquiries, and agreements for the user in the MSCM module, on screens such as P.30.01, P.30.11, P.50.01, and P.70.71. If a section has been entered here on screen A.20.06.02, the user can only see requisitions, inquiries, and agreements that have been assigned to that section or that have no section assigned at all. All sections assigned to the user role are disregarded.

If no section is assigned to the user here on screen A.20.06.02, but one or more sections have been assigned to the user’s role on screen A.30.03, the user can only see the requisitions, inquiries, and agreements with these sections assigned or that have no section assigned.

If you insert a new record, you will be asked by an alert whether you want to copy the queryable disciplines and/or the user privileges of another user/product group/discipline to the new record. For more information, see User Securities for Product Groups.

You can use the right mouse-click menu item Populate Downwards on the Role, View Name, and Section fields to copy a value to all queried records underneath.

You can use the View options at the top of the screen to filter the displayed records. Choosing With SOD Violations will display the user securities that have violations in the Separation of Duties (SOD) definition. Choosing Without SOD Violations will display the user securities that do not have any SOD violations. Choosing the All option displays all user securities regardless of the SOD status.

The user securities that are active and that have SOD violations are highlighted with a red background color.

For more information, see Separation of Duties.
