A SmartPlant License Manager (SPLM) license machine or server is no longer needed. We maintain licensing servers in the cloud.

SmartPlant License Manager on the client workstations is replaced by Smart Licensing Client.
If you are configuring Intergraph Smart Licensing for SmartPlant Foundation, Smart Licensing Client must be installed on the application server and must be updated to the latest version. You might need to upgrade the application server to support a later version of Windows Server®. Before updating the license server during the migration process, we recommend performing an iisreset.
