A flow arrow has a sense of direction and can be associated with a length of pipe or with a component. When you place a flow arrow into a sketch, you use the Properties window to define its direction initially or modify its direction later.

Select Place > Flow Arrow Command.

In the Detail window, select the point on a section of pipe or component at which to position the flow arrow.
The software places the flow arrow and displays the Dimension box.

Type value in the dimension box, and then press ENTER.

Select the flow arrow symbol in the pipeline. In the Properties window, use the Flow Direction list to define the flow direction.
The Pipeline Explorer uses the 
icon to indicate a flow arrow.
