The following configuration steps must be followed on the computer that hosts the Smart Interop Publisher Service.

  • If you have the Smart Interop Publisher Service configured on more than one computer and you are translating a specific source file format that requires third-party software, you must install the third-party software prerequisites on all the computers. For more information on any prerequisites of a specific source file format, see Supported Model Source Formats and Requirements.

  • Before starting these steps, Smart Interop Publisher Web API must be installed on the computer.

  1. Run as Administrator and start the configuration utility: C:\Program Files\SmartPlant\Interop Publisher\ISIPWebAPI\client\bin\ISIPConfigurationUtility.exe to start. You can also run the .exe file can also be run from the Start menu and you must always run it as an administrator.

  1. On the Welcome page, select Configure ISIP Data.

    If you have not previously configured your Web API Database Connection and RabbitMQ service, Configure Database Connection & Prerequisites is automatically selected and the steps defined in Configure the Database Connection are invoked before starting the web site configuration.

  2. Click Next to display the Modify ISIP Service page.

    1. Set the concurrency level. The Suggested concurrency level displays based on the system configuration. The concurrency level defines how many parallel translations can take place in web server. For example, if the concurrency level is set to 3, then three translations run simultaneously. Remaining translation requests wait in the translation queue. When any of the three translations finish, the next translation from the queue starts.

      The concurrency level can be ranged from 1 to 5 with 1 as the default value. If you have already configured in the same system, the value you defined displays. You can modify this value to increase the number of parallel translations in a web server.

    2. Type the Username and Password for the service. The login is used to run a Windows service. It must have Logon as a service right on the computer.

    3. If you install the service on a computer with no past record of a logon user service is found, such as a new computer, add the the user as shown below:

      1. Log on to the computer with administrative privileges.

      2. Open the Administrative Tools and open Local Security Policy.

      3. Expand Local Policy and click User Rights Assignment.

      4. In the right pane, right-click Log on as a service and select Properties.

      5. Click Add User or Group to add the new user.

      6. From Select Users or Groups, find the user to enter, and then click OK.

      7. Click OK in Log on as a service to save changes.

  3. Click Next to display the Summary page.

  4. Review the configuration. For any corrections, click Back to go to the required page. When everything is correct, click Finish.

    The Applying Configuration page displays the results of the operation.

  5. Click Close.

  6. On the Machines page, select the machine name to review Machine Details.

  7. Click the Website name to review IIS Configuration Details and API Manager Configuration Details.

  8. Click Restart if there are any errors; otherwise, click Close.
