Before starting, Install Prerequisites.

  1. Run as Administrator and start the configuration utility: C:\Program Files\SmartPlant\Interop Publisher\ISIPWebAPI\client\bin\ISIPConfigurationUtility.exe to start. You can also run the .exe file from the Start menu. You must always run as an administrator.

  2. On the Welcome page, select Configure Database Connection & Prerequisites, and then click Next.

  3. (Optional) Configure Redis. By setting up Redis, end-points can be enabled so that user data is not persisted. To skip this setting, clear Configure Redis Connection.

    1. For Server Name, enter the IP address of the Redis server.

    2. For Redis Database, enter the database name.

    3. Select or clear Allow Admin Connections, as required.

    4. Click Test to see if Redis is connected, and then click Next.

      Configure Site Database (Optional)

  4. Configure the Smart Interop Publisher site database. By setting up the site database, the end-points can be enabled to persist user data. The site database can be created in the Smart Interop Publisher desktop installation. To skip this setting, select Skip ISIP Site database configuration.

    1. For Server Name, enter the SQL server name that contains the Smart Interop Publisher site database.

    2. Select the authentication mode (Windows or SQL server authentication). If you select SQL server authentication, enter a user name and password.

    3. Click Connect to connect to the data server and fetch all available site databases.

    4. For Database Name, select the site database to use.

    5. Click Test Connection to make sure the site database is connected, and then click Next.

  5. Configure RabbitMQ to define the RabbitMQ instance that Smart Interop Publisher Web API uses for messaging.

    1. For Server Name, type the computer name that is running the RabbitMQ service. For example,

    2. For Port, type the port number for RabbitMQ. The default is 5672 for non-SSL and 5671 for SSL.

    3. If you plan to use SSL encryption, select SSL encryption, User/Password based Authorization in the RabbitMQ security option. See "Configure SSL for RabbitMQ" in Install and Configure RabbitMQ before selecting this option because you must have certain prerequisites defined.

    4. For Username and Password, type the login defined in the RabbitMQ Management Plugin, and then click Next.

      Configuration Summary

    5. Review the Configuration Summary and click Back to make any required changes.

    6. Click Finish to apply your settings.
