This section contains information and workflows to install Smart Interop Publisher and all required Intergraph and third party components. The general steps to install Smart Interop Publisher and set up a database are shown below. More detailed information about Microsoft SQL Server and Smart Interop Publisher is provided in subsequent sections.

Installation

  1. Set up your environment. Some of the settings you define in the SQL Server are based on your environment setup.

  2. To support the translation of CAESAR II source files, install Microsoft Access Engine (64-bit).

    For more information on requirements for specific supported third-party source files, see Supported Model Source Formats and Requirements and Supported Drawing Source Formats and Requirements.

  3. Install Intergraph Smart Licensing. Refer to the respective product's installation guides for setup information.

  4. To use scheduling, install and configure Intergraph Batch Services. You can download the latest Intergraph Batch Services from the PPM Smart Community. After installation, you must set up batch services to work with Smart Interop Publisher:

    1. Configure batch services account mappings

    2. Grant Jobs Access to the Desktop

  5. Install the Smart Interop Publisher-supported Microsoft SQL Server version, and then create an instance.

  6. Perform any required network configuration.

  7. Install Smart Interop Publisher.
