Smart Interop Publisher Version
16.2

Smart Interop Publisher uses mapping to migrate data from external data sources into a common format supported by Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence target applications. This is necessary in cases where Intergraph software and third-party authoring tools have different names or labels for the same attribute or property. Additionally, different expressions and units of measure can result in conflicting representation of the same data. Mapping helps to resolve these property conflicts so that model data can be opened and compared in the different Intergraph target applications: Smart Review, SmartPlant Foundation, Smart 3D, and web portal applications.

Mapping is done through the use of spreadsheet and .xml files (also referred to as configuration files). A mapping file defines mappings for section names, material names, member types, and attribute or property labels between Intergraph software and supported third-party applications.

Smart Interop Publisher delivers a set of default mapping files that includes the basic classes and their properties for the SmartPlant Enterprise application format. For any object data and properties that are not covered, you can create and use your own custom mapping files. See Configure Mapping to Control Model Display.
