Smart Interop Publisher Version
16.2

You must have Autodesk Navisworks Manage or Autodesk Navisworks Simulate loaded and activated on the same system to translate .nwd and .nwf files. For required translation versions, see Supported 3D Model Formats.

Although Smart Interop Publisher can translate native Navisworks .nwd files, we highly recommend that you translate the original source files used to generate the Navisworks file. The original source files could be formats such as .rvm/.att, .dwg, .dgn, and .ifc. Translating the original source files with Smart Interop Publisher instead of .nwd files provides better graphics quality and a more extensive, richer mapped property data.

Working Units

Keep units from the source file

Allows Smart Interop Publisher to use the unit system information available in the Navisworks source files. This option is enabled by default. Clear this option to set custom Master Units and Sub Units for the source files translated with the translation settings group you are currently defining. For any Navisworks source file, Smart Interop Publisher supports the units that are defined in the Translation Settings. For any other units in the source file, Smart Interop Publisher defaults to meters.

Master Units\Sub Units

See Working Units.

Smooth object surfaces

Provides a smoother display of model objects by generating smaller polygons. This option is selected by default and significantly increases the size of the resulting Smart Model.

The increase in model size can cause slower load times when opening in a target application.

Translate hidden objects

Supports the translation and display of all hidden objects in the Navisworks source file. This option is not enabled by default, so the resulting Smart Model does not contain any hidden objects.
