After selecting the source and loading the entities into the target, you can compare the loaded data between the source and target schemas to determine which entities need to be mapped or for changing existing mapping. This procedure explains how to perform the comparison.

  1. Click COMPARE.

The comparison action shows the unmapped data by default and therefore, entities are shown in the Source pane or Target pane only with blank rows in the opposite pane.

  2. If required, use the Filter list to select a different view of the entities.

  3. Use the Search data box and column filters to narrow the list of entities that appear in the Source and Target panes. You can narrow the lists in the Source and Target panes independently. Use the column sort options to order the data by preferred columns.

  • Color markers and legend are used to indicate unmapped entities (orange), mapped entities (green), and disabled for mapping entities (gray).

  • Selecting All displays the unmapped entities first, followed by the mapped entities.

  • When Mapped or All is selected, ALL mapped entities are shown in the Target pane, including those for entities that were not selected in the Source pane for loading; however, the rows in the Source pane remain blank for the unselected entities, while the corresponding mapped entities in the Target pane appear grayed. Clicking a grayed row displays a message stating that the source entity was not selected for loading.
