  • The Intergraph Schematic Scheduler Service is a separate software utility that monitors changes to plant items. Once you setup and start the scheduler service, the service synchronizes the changes with HxGN SDx2. Changes are then flagged for new, modified, or deleted plant items. Updates can then be shared with other Hexagon applications.

    • The Intergraph Schematic Scheduler Service needs to be configured using the Schematic Scheduler Configuration Utility. Before you setup a site using the Configuration Utility, make sure that Smart Electrical Share Service is installed.

  • The Smart Electrical Share Service enables integration with HxGN SDx2 and runs in the background. It is available with Smart Electrical as a separate feature and is located in the Select Features to Install section of the Smart Electrical installation DVD. You can also install the Share Service using the Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Here are the basic steps to setup and configure the services:

  1. Install the Smart Electrical Share Service, see Install or modify Smart Electrical Select Features.

  2. Install SmartPlant.NET, see Install Additional Software.

  3. Install the Intergraph Schematic Scheduler.

  4. Configure the Intergraph Schematic Scheduler.

  5. Start the Intergraph Schematic Scheduler Service.

  • It is recommended to install the Intergraph Schematic Scheduler Service, the Smart Electrical Share Service and SmartPlant.NET on the same system.

  • Configure these services to handle data integration between HxGN SDx2 and the respective plant. Ensure that the same plant is shared by all the Schematic tools that synchronize data with HxGN SDx2 within your organization.

  • Install SmartPlant.NET on any additional Smart Electrical client machine that connects to HxGN SDx2.

  • We recommend that these services be set up by one administrator who also has credentials to install Smart Electrical.
