You need to publish the application to allow you to view the data using a web page. You must perform this procedure for each executable file for which you want to view data; for example, Smart Electrical (spelect.exe), Options Manager (SPELOptionsManager.exe), Rule Manager (SPELRuleManager.exe), and so forth.

  1. On the Start menu, select Programs > Citrix > Metaframe Presentation Server to start the Citrix Management Console.

    SHARED Tip The names of dialogs may vary from the ones described in this document according the version of Citrix Presentation Server that you are using.

  2. Select Action > New > Published Application.

  3. In the Published Application wizard, type a display name such as Smart Electrical, and an application description, and then select Next.

  4. On the Specify What to Publish page, select the Application option button (the default).

  5. Beside Command Line, select Browse to navigate to the Smart Electrical executable file location.

  6. Select Next.

  7. On the Program Neighborhood Settings page, define a program neighborhood folder and add shortcuts for the clients, and then select Next.

  8. On the Specify Application Appearance page, specify the window size, color, and start-up settings according to your needs, and then select Next.

  9. On the Specify ICA Client Requirement page, accept the default value, and then select Next.

  10. On the Specify Servers page, add the Citrix server and then select Next.

  11. On the Specify Users page, add the user accounts that are to be granted access to the published application and then select Finish.

After publishing the application, do the following to create the .ica and .html files:

  1. On the Citrix Management Console, select the Smart Electrical application, right-click, then select Create ICA File and follow the wizard instructions.

  2. On the Citrix Management Console, select the Smart Electrical application, right-click, then select Create HTML File and follow the wizard instructions.
