You can define a focal item for a cable block diagram. A focal item is a plant item for which you generate a cable block diagram. After you define a focal item, the software associates it with a specific cable block diagram.

In Electrical Engineer, expand the Documents folder and select an appropriate cable block diagram.

Right-click the selected CBD and then select Document Properties.

On the Document Properties dialog, select Find next to the Focal item box.

On the Find dialog, select an appropriate item and select OK.

If you want the software to display the name of the focal item in the title block of the associated CBD, add a new macro to your document template, for example &Document.Equipment.ItemTag.

To dissociate a focal item from the current CBD, select Clear next to the Focal item box.
