In the Reference Data Explorer or the Electrical Index, expand the folder hierarchy Wiring Equipment > Cables.

Expand one of the cable folders: Power Cables, Control Cables, Grounding Cables, or Instrumentation Cables.

Right-click the cable that you want to delete, and on the shortcut menu, select Delete.

At the prompt, select Yes to confirm the deletion.
If you select more than one cable for deletion, the software records any deletion failures in the Batch Deletion log file. For the procedure for creating and viewing the log file, see Generate Error Log Files.
Deletion Rules for Cables
The following rules apply when you delete a cable in the Reference Data Explorer or the Electrical Index:
