You must install at least one Microsoft document. Otherwise, the Microsoft Help Viewer might not be able to install the Intergraph API documentation correctly.

  1. In Visual Studio, select Help > Add and Remove Help Content, then select the Manage Content tab.

  2. Select Online to display available Microsoft documentation, already installed or that you can download. If installed, the Action column displays "Remove".

The total number of packages available to install is determined by your original Visual Studio component selections. Selections from Recommended Documentation for adding content, displayed in Pending changes, determines the length of time for installation.

You can learn more about the packages of books returned from Microsoft by reviewing your Local store path.

  3. Click "Add" in the Action column, which changes to "Cancel". You can select more than one. The Status column displays "Add (pending)", and pending changes to the right displays your selections.

  4. Click Update in the lower right corner.

You can monitor the progress of installation by viewing a series of notifications in the lower right corner including downloading packages, extracting data, merging topic indexes, to finally deleting the working directory.

Now, your Microsoft documentation is ready for review.
